History
The operational expertise of Trentino Sviluppo is based on long years of experience, starting in 1986 with the setting up by the Autonomous Province of Trento of Tecnofin Strutture , a company based in Rovereto and designed to function as a Technology Park to provide manufacturing space and services to businesses and research centres.
Tecnofin subsequently became a Group , including a finance company to manage a real estate fund and a company operating in the field of business innovation in partnership with the ITC (now known as the Bruno Kessler Foundation) and the University of Trento.
In 2003, the Province reorganised the Tecnofin Group to create the Agenzia per lo Sviluppo Spa (Development Agency), which incorporated all the existing companies.
In 2007, the Agenzia per lo Sviluppo changed its name to Trentino Sviluppo (Trentino Development) In order to promote the Trentino system beyond the confines of the province in a more immediate and striking way by making direct reference to the geographical area concerned.
