The D2T Start Cup Award
Anyone wishing to become an entrepreneur in Trentino has a great opportunity to transform his business idea into reality thanks to the "D2T Start Cup" Business Innovation Award (D2T - Distretto Tecnologico Trentino ).
By taking part in the competition, young would-be entrepreneurs have a chance to obtain financial resources and support services to help them create a new company. The purpose of the award is to encourage the development of young entrepreneurs by promoting the consolidation of new companies in Trentino, while at the same time furthering the spread of business culture among the young.
The D2T Start Cup is a competition for innovative business ideas and projects devised and developed by young people . It is aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 16 and 36, divided into two categories: “Business idea”, for innovative business ideas, and “Business plan”, a contest between actual business plans developed from an innovative business idea and submitted by contestants wishing to set up a business enterprise in the Trentino area.
The aspiring entrepreneurs are awarded cash prizes to help them start up (in 2009, 50 thousand Euros to the winner in the “Business plan” category, up to 6 thousand Euros for the best Business Ideas), and they can receive a series of support services for the start-up phase .
In addition, all participants in the D2T Start Cup competition are entitled to receive the “One day experience” prize consisting of a whole day spent in a major national company in direct contact with the top management. In the last few years Barilla, Technogym, Cantieri Ferretti and Acquafan have collaborated in this initiative.
