Blue Eagles, the innovation managers
Companies interested in increasing their competitive edge through technological innovation, research and development and the acquisition of new technology and know-how (technology transfer), may request the assistance of the Trentino Sviluppo “Blue Angels”.
The "Blue Angels " team consists of approximately 10 senior managers who, thanks to their variety of professional profiles and educational backgrounds, are able to respond to the innovation requirements of companies operating in different business areas. The pool includes industrial, nuclear, electronic and mechanical engineers, as well as industrial chemists and business economists: highly qualified experts who combine know-how, professionalism and a practical approach.
The innovation managers are professionals with at least ten years’ experience, who can assist in the technology transfer process from the research system to the production system, and support companies in their organizational and process rationalization. Management, logistics, technology, economics, finance, legal, counselling: these are the macro-sectors in which our innovation managers can boast specific know-how, which in some cases is the result of professional experience as top managers. This last point is particularly important in view of the need for empathy between the company and the “Blue Eagles” team: speaking the same language favours the transfer of know-how, but what is needed above all is the ability to listen, method, enthusiasm, energy and continuity.
Launched in the Spring of 2006, in its first three years the “Blue Eagles” project has achieved significant results: over 170 companies visited, 156 in-depth audits, 47 contacts with companies in Italy and abroad, 42 collaboration projects between companies and research institutes in the Province of Trento, 16 with research centres across the country, 35 sets of data input into databases for technology transfer, these are just some of the figures that can give an idea of the importance of this role in the innovation and technology transfer processes in support of Trentino companies.
